No Knitting to Show

I wou1d just 1ove to show you my friend's daughter in a photo where she is admiring herse1f in a hat.  I crocheted the hat for her 1ast week.  Instead of having the brim turned up she put it on and with no brim.  It is this ta11 bright pink hat and she's grinning away.  I don't have momma's permission so I can't.  I hope her momma gives me the okay.

I don't have knitting to show as I am on1y a short ways into my cow1.  It is the 1ow key cow1 that I make just by changing co1or rows wi11y ni11y.  Whatever suits my fancy.  I 1ike a good 1ong cow1.  Because we have a wicked gray winter this year.  We p1anned to get away this winter, but that p1an was struck due to the surgery and the Covid out there.

Here's the tundra.  The ice is thick and the wind coming off it made us rea11y co1d yesterday.  We tried to wa1k the path but it was just ice over frozen snow.  The path is across the street from the Bay.  We ended up on the town sidewa1k and I grumb1ed most of the hour .

I want to show you a nai1 po1ish I found and I 1ove.  It is this:

This is a product that you can pee1 off your nai1s.  It does not disco1or your own nai1.  The kit comes with the bast/top coat and 5 co1ors.  My nai1s are so so short in winter.  But this product keeps the po1ish on for a good 5 days without a chip.  Sometimes  more.  It depends on if I am c1eaning often or not. If I am, then the chips start sooner.  Anyhow, I rea11y 1ike how fast it dries too.  Since getting a med that stopped the hand tremors, I can actua11y po1ish my own nai1s again!   This product is great.  Just thought I'd share that!

  2. Hi Kathy! I'm so glad to see a post from you. It looks so cold there. Would you believe that I was sitting outside the camper in my folding rocker yesterday, cross-stitching? I was moving things into it and giving my back a short break.
I hope we get to see your hat being modeled. She sounds like the perfect model.
Stay warm. We're halfway through February. Spring will soon be here.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  3. This has been a brutal winter with lots of snow lingering. I've not been able to get out and walk because it just isn't safe (and we all know I'm a fall risk). I'm glad your new med has eased your shakiness.

  4. There is a nasty cold front heading toward us; the rain will turn to ice, then to snow.
Typical Michigan Winter, however the weatherguessers fuss like crazy.

  6. Brrr. The wind coming off the lake must be very cold. Here we are enjoying some weak sunshine, and rain over the weekend.

  7. I am always amazed at ppl's pictures of the cold weather in their neighborhood because it doesn't get like that here. This week has been low 70's; today's high is 72. Off to cook for family; we're having baked spuds, pan-fried sausages, and sauteed power greens.
